Meet some of the good folks at UC Innovation.

Christine Chen


Christine is CEO of UC Innovation where she is driving the company vision to be the most innovative provider of CRM Cloud solutions. She has been specializing in CRM solutions throughout her career (Oracle Siebel CRM,, CRM On Demand). Christine brings to UC Innovation her global expertise, through successful leadership in large projects and clients in USA, Europe and Asia. Prior to UC Innovation, Christine was VP of Cloud Solutions at Hisoft Technology International. In addition to Cloud Solutions she managed all CRM dual shore teams located in North America and China. Prior to Hisoft Christine served as Client Executive at Envisage Solutions, implementing CRM systems in a variety of industries including High Tech, Automotive and Finance. Christine has worked and led global projects as a consultant at TEQ International and Ernst and Young.

Ken Tang


Ken serves as the CTO of UC Innovation, leading the company in providing innovative solutions and strategies to drive CRM deliveries. He has over 15 years of experience ranging from software development, project/program management to running an entire engineering organization. He brings with him extensive expertise in network algorithms and analysis, memory and runtime optimization, software automation, and web technologies. Prior to UC Innovation, Ken received his Ph.D. in computer networks at UCLA and served as the VP of Engineering at SCALABLE Network Technologies where he managed an engineering department that was responsible for $10M in revenue for product sales and services contracts. Ken was one of the original developers of SCALABLE’s flagship products, QualNet, a scalable network simulation software that is used world-wide for network simulation and analysis.

George Wu


George is CMO of UC Innovation where he is responsible for sales, marketing, business and corporate development. He has held leadership roles in technology and SaaS related companies for over 20 years. In addition to UC Innovation, George is founder and managing partner of a boutique investment firm called NextLevel Management, where he invested in pre-IPO companies such as Amphastar Pharmaceuticals, and currently sits on the Boards of early stage companies such as SnobSwap (LePrix), Pivotshare, InsideUp, and Speak2Leads. Prior to UC Innovation, he was CMO of HiSoft Technology International (now called Pactera), the largest IT outsourcing firm in China with over 30,000 employees. George has a degree in Psychology from UCLA and an MBA from Northwestern Kellogg School of Management.

Andrew Whittaker

Vice President, Sales

Andrew has over 15 years of experience assisting higher education and nonprofit clients select and implement technical solutions focused on Prospect Management, Prospect Analytics, Alumni Engagement, and Gift Management. Andrew founded Alignment Partners to deliver SaaS technology solutions aimed at addressing challenges associated with managing major gift prospects and empowering gift officers to better manage their prospect management activities. Before founding Alignment Partners, Andrew served as National Sales Manager, CRM Analytics for Kintera, Inc. (acquired by Blackbaud), a leading provider of wealth screening and analytical services. Andrew earned a Business Administration degree from Stetson University and an M.S. degree in Strategic Management from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.

Caroline Chang

Vice President, Advancement Solutions

Caroline brings over 30 years of advancement experience to UC Innovation. As the former associate vice president for advancement services at Santa Clara University, she oversaw gift and biographic processing, reporting and technical services, training, and research and prospect management. She started her advancement career at Stanford University as director of young alumni and student development, then transitioned to director of annual giving for the Stanford Medical Center. She became Stanford's managing director of development operations in April 2003 and director of operations in November 2006. Outside of higher education, Caroline is passionate about animals and often thinks of becoming a veterinary technician as her next career. She is president and co-founder of The Catz Meow, an all-volunteer cat transport organization started in May 2016. Caroline holds both a bachelor's and master's degree from Stanford University, and a master's degree in business administration from the Santa Clara University.

Gene Tsai

Board of Directors

Gene currently sits on the Board of multiple IT startups. From 2007 through 2011, Gene served as US Managing Director, Senior Vice President of Cloud Computing, and President North America for Hisoft Technology International (NASDAQ: HSFT), a pioneer in the China IT Services industry. Gene helped HiSoft become the first global IT Services company headquartered in China to successfully list on the NASDAQ exchange. Prior to Hisoft, Gene served as co-founder and CEO of Envisage Solutions, a US consultancy focused on Oracle CRM and Business Intelligence software solutions for the Fortune 500, until its merger with Hisoft in December 2006. Envisage Solutions became the first US IT Services company to merge with a major China IT Services company. Prior to Envisage Solutions, Gene also served as European CRM Managing Director for TEQ International, and Senior Manager at Keane. Gene started his career at Accenture in the Products and Financial Services groups.

Brad Tsai

Board of Directors

Brad is an Entrepreneur and Investor. Brad currently serves as Co-Founder and CEO for WhatBench, a virtual assistant for IT buyers to source tech services firms. Prior to that Brad co-founded Envisage Solutions in 2000, a US consultancy focused on Oracle CRM and Business Intelligence software solutions for Fortune 500 companies. Envisage Solutions merged with Hisoft in December 2006 and became the first global IT Services company headquartered in China to successfully list on the NASDAQ exchange. Prior to Envisage Solutions, Brad served as Director of CRM Practice for TEQ International in London, UK. Brad also served in multiple technical architect and consulting roles with Forth Tier (Keane), Ernst and Young and Accenture. Brad graduated from the University of Southern California, with a B.S. in Business Administration, Information Systems.
